Coach La Belle is entering his seventh year with the Simi Valley baseball program, and his fifth year as the Varsity Head Coach. He prepped at Newbury Park High School, the University of California at Irvine (until they dropped the program), and finished at the University of San Diego. Coach La Belle has previously worked for Major League Baseball International as the head coach of the Austrian Olympic Team. In his first year at the helm of the Pioneers, he led them to a 27-7 record, and a Division II C.I.F. Championship. Coach La Belle resides in Moorpark with his wife Melissa, his daughter Addyson, and their dog Tugger.

Coach Belmonte

Coach Belmonte is entering his eighth year as a Simi Valley Varsity Baseball Assistant Coach. Coach Belmonte played second base at Monroe High School (and won the City championship in 1974), College of the Canyons, Hawaii, and the University of Azusa Pacific. At Azusa he was a Second Team All-American. Following his collegiate career, he played professional baseball in the Chicago Cubs organization. He finished his career assigned at the Triple A level. Coach Belmonte and his wife Cindy have a son, Casey (who played at College of the Canyons), and a daughter Jamie. They live in Simi Valley, California.

Coach Bob LaBelle

Bob has just recently retired from the field of education after forty years of service to the Las Virgenes, Yosemite and Simi Valley Unified School Districts. During those forty years, he served in the capacity as a teacher and coach (twenty years), an Assistant Principal (three years), a Director of Human Resources, and a Principal (seventeen years). He is presently employed by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) as a baseball umpire observer for the Western United States covering the Pac-10 Conference, the Western Athletic Conference(WAC), the Mountain West Conference, the Big West Conference and the West Coast Conference. He also is assisting his son, Matt, with the baseball program at Simi Valley High School as a volunteer coach. He plans to continue volunteering in the Simi Valley community in many different capacities with an emphasis on assisting in the educational process for the students throughout the district. He has been married to his lovely wife, Nancy, who is the College Counselor at La Reina High School, for thirty-eight years and they have two children. Their son, Matt, is the Athletic Director and Varsity Baseball Coach at Simi Valley High School, and their daughter, Julie, is the Activities Director at Chamanade High School.

Coach Kuntz is entering his sixth year as a Pioneer Baseball coach. Coach Kuntz attended Simi Valley High School (Class of ’83), and is currently a prominent businessman in the Simi Valley area. Coach Kuntz has a daughter Pepsi and a son (Keaton) who is a member of the Simi Valley High School Baseball program.

Coach Young is his entering his eleventh year as a coach for the SVHS Pioneers. He is an alumus of SVHS (Class of ’70), and is happily married to his high school sweetheart Patty for the past 35 years. They have two sons that played baseball for SVHS, Scott (Class of ’94) is a doctor, and Brian (Class of ’96) is a police officer.

Coach Arisohn

Varsity Assistant

Coach Arisohn is entering his second year as a Pioneer Baseball coach. Coach Arisohn graduated from Simi High School in 2002 where he was a 3 year Varsity letter winner under former Coach Joe Gordon. In his senior year he was 1st team all-marmonte, 1st team all-Ventura County, team MVP, and was named to the Bernie Mulligan all-star team. He holds the school record for career triples at 10. Coach Arisohn then attended Moorpark College and played 2 years under Coach Mario Porto. As a freshman he was 2nd team all western state conference player and as a sophmore he was 1st team all western state conference player. After graduating with an AA from Moorpark, Coach Arisohn transferred to Olivet Nazarene University in Illinois. In his junior year he was 1st team all Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference player, NAIA 1st team all-Region VII player, and an NAIA Honorable mention All-American at 3B. In his senior year he was again chosen as 1st team all Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference as a utility player and was chosen as the team MVP. Coach Arisohn is currently finishing his Bachelors Degree in History at CSUN.

Coach Bleiberg

Freshman Head Coach

First-year head Freshman coach, Dave Bleiberg, joins us after 2 years f coaching at Thousand Oaks High School. Dave has spent his life around baseball as a player at Royal High School (class of '87), then as an umpire for American Legion and the Channel Coast Official's Association off and on for the past 20 years. Coach Bleiberg currently teaches at Valley View Middle School and is happily married to his high-school sweetheart and fellow teacher/coach, Lura, for the past 15 years. They have a son, Tyler, and a daughter, Dara.
